Northeast Council of W.I.C.C.A. offers a
13-week Wicca 101 course for those seeking an introduction as well
as some advance knowledge of Wicca / Witchcraft. The next course
offerings begin in Spring and in Fall of 2006.

2006 Mondays 7:00pm - 9:00pm
The cost is $5.00 per class and will run for 13 weeks each
on Monday evenings from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Both class
offerings are being instructed by Linda Hanley at 598 Lake Road
West Fork in Hamlin. If you are interested in attending this

Students who successfully pass
this course will receive a Northeast Council of W.I.C.C.A.
Wicca 101 Certificate of Completion and if desired, a free
one-year membership in Northeast Council of W.I.C.C.A.

- What Wicca Is and Is Not / Our Beliefs
- Principles / Ethics / Philosophy
(Three-fold, 13 Principles, etc.)
- History of Wicca (European, American,
Burning Times, Noted Pagans)
- Meditation
- Working with Energy
- The God -Wheel of the Year - Sabbats
- The Goddess and Esbats
- Traditions
- Sacred Space (Altars, Altar Tools, the
Pentagram, Creating Sacred Space)
- Ritual Basics (Rites of Passage, Writing
Ritual, etc.)
- Working with Elements
- Magick (Philosophy, What is Magick,
Spells, How to Write Spells, Correspondences, Divination,
Totems, Familiars, Sigils, Candle Magick, etc.)
- Coven or Solitary Life and Making Your
Own BOS
Please expect written homework assignments, usually not exceeding a
few paragraphs (one sheet of paper). At the end of the course there is a two-part
exam - Part I is take home and Part II is given in class (about
30-45 min long). Upon successful completion the student is
presented with a Certificate of Completion of Wicca 101, and a few
gifts to get started. This presentation is done at the NEC Open Sabbat celebration nearest to completion of the course.
This is not a "fluffy-bunny" course. In teaching Wicca 101 I learn
from my students as they learn from me. Classes are kept small to
allow for discussion. I have no expectations as to what path one
may choose - that is a personal decision each of us makes.
