What is it?
MidMoon is a community outreach project with the purpose of
fostering a sense of family and unity among area Pagans. It is
maintained and sponsored by Northeast Council of W.I.C.C.A.
How does it work?
When big events in our lives happen it is nice to have the love and
care of our community. MidMoon honors those life events with care
baskets filled with hand made goods, a card and/or helpful information.
Who is it for?
MidMoon works for the entire Pagan community. MidMoon would like to
show you the love of your fellow Pagans by acknowledging:
-
Handfasting
-
Illness or Accidents
-
Grieving
-
New Baby
-
New Home
-
Surgery
A new mother may be given a handcrafted receiving blanket, information
on nursing and pagan parenting, a baby blessing kit, an herbal sachet
used to prevent colic, and/or any number of other wonderful gifts. We
recognize new home ownership and handfastings.
Those experiencing the loss of a loved one may receive info on grief and
loss, healing crystals, healing candles, dinner for the family, and
various other inspirational and heartfelt items and information for this
difficult time. If someone is ill, had surgery or an accident we send a
card, send dinner for the family and/or a plant.
How can I help?
Are you crafty? Do you crochet a mean afghan? Maybe you make oils or
work with herbs? Have a printer? Then we need you. There are many ways
to help out your community through MidMoon. Not only will you be doing
something wonderful for someone else, you will make wonderful friends in
the process.
Who do I contact?
Please contact Linda Hanley at lhanley1@rochester.rr.com or call
(585) 964-2736, or any member of Northeast Council of W.I.C.C.A. so that
arrangements for a visit can be made, a gift delivered, or an expression
of sympathy can be expressed.
